Review: The Bands of Mourning (Mistborn #6) by Brandon Sanderson

Now this is a Mistborn book!

I loved almost everything about The Bands of Mourning. The book specific plot, the character growth and the overall story-arc.

There is an intangible feeling that a reader gets when a book is special. I had that feeling while reading TBOM. It’s a cross between excitement and dread. What is the author going to do to the characters you are coming to love?

This came close to 5-stars for me (4.5/5) and would’ve made it except for a few minor things related to one of the characters late in the game. I don’t want to spoil anything but this person’s reactions to events seemed…meh and out of character.

Sanderson made many decisions that had me filled with joy along the way. Specifically the growth of both Marisi and Steris. Ladies, if you are looking for a male fantasy author who writes strong female characters, look no further. Sanderson is your man.

Highly recommended. And, can I tell you how sad I am that it will be 2018 for the next installment?
